Category Archives: RECIPIES

Pooh and I picked up this awesome Popsicle set at Crate & Barrel this weekend.  We decided to try it out tonight so we looked up some recipes and whipped something together.  We went with a simple but delicious recipe for our first try.  They're in the freezer right now.  I can't wait to have one!

Avocado Coconut Popsicles:
- Avocado
- Coconut Milk (we went with Silk's Soy Coconut Milk w/ Vanilla)
- Whipping Cream
- Sugar (we used Splenda instead)
- Mix/blend to desired consistency

I hope you guys try this recipe out for yourselves.  You can also just serve this minus the whipping cream over ice.  My mom used to make something similar for me as a kid.  Enjoy!

OMG…Pooh and I had an amazing dinner at Sushi Deli 3 tonight. I honestly have no idea what we ordered but man was it delicious. We also had some sake bombs to keep us warm since it was FREEZING outside!

We thought it’d be nice to spend the rest of the night at home since it’s too cold to go out and do anything. Pooh whipped up a concoction consisting of Kahlua Mocha, Vanilla Vodka, Silly Cow Farms Hot Chocolate from Whole Foods (that shit is amazing!), topped with whipped cream. This warm treat is definitely yummy in my tummy! :) MMMMmmmmmmm!

Pooh made some desert the other night. It was sweet and tasty!

1 Plantain (Large thin slices)
Brown Sugar (as little or as much as you like)
Olive Oil

Heat a thin layer of olive oil on a flat nonstick pan. Pooh doesn’t like using too much oil on our food so we usually use Pam Cooking Spray to lightly oil the pan. Sprinkle brown sugar on both sides of the plantain slices and then place them in the pan. Be sure not to use too much oil or it’ll splatter all over the place! Once the plantains turn to a golden brown color and when there’s a nice layer of caramelization, they’re ready to remove from the pan. Let them cool a bit and enjoy! Best served warm. I prefer thin crispy slices. Pooh prefers large soft slices. This is one of my favorite treats growing up in a filipino home. I hope you try this out sometime. Let me know how it goes!
