Pooh and I had a free night at the Spa Resort & Casino in Palm Springs so we thought we’d use it before our schedule got crazy (because of the holidays). We drove up Sunday, checked in, and just had ourselves a great night! I was surprised by how nice our room was. I honestly thought there would be floral bed sheets and old style furnishing. It was a bit like the Vdara but not as fancy; we were still very pleased. :). Since we were only staying for one night we made the best use of our “alone time” in the room…twice – once before going out and another returning after our night out on the town. We played a bit at the casino and then went to Hunter’s for some drinks. Afterwards we thought we’d check out the happy hour at Wang’s. We heard many good things about the place. It was a great happy hour – $2 wells, $4 martinis, happy hour priced apps, and a cutie bartender that poured us heavy drinks! What a great time we had at Wang’s! :) There was also an amazing singer that was performing in the outside patio area. She serenaded us for a bit! After a couple cocktails and some appetisers we thought we’d try out another place and have dinner. Thanks to Yelp, we found a great place called MatchBox! We had ourselves some more cocktails, a Crunchy Tuna Roll, Sliders, Seared Scallops, and a delicious pizza w/ no cheese! Dinner was delicious and so much fun! We chatted with an older couple that was seated next to us for quite a while. They were such cute couple and so much in love. They recommended us some places check out and we recommended them places as well. I’m excited to check these places out…some places you’d never think of going unless someone tells you about how awesome it is. After our lovely dinner we headed back to our hotel room. It was such a great night. It felt as though a couple days had passed but it was all squeezed into this one random Sunday. The awesome thing about this crazy weekend was that we’re off on Monday’s so we were able to enjoy our Monday as well! We checked out of our hotel Monday and headed back to SD…but not without going to Morongo casino along the way to play some games and enjoy ourselves a buffet for lunch! We sure did spoil ourselves this weekend!

Pooh and I thought we needed a weekend to just relax and do absolutely nothing. We still had our 2 free nights at Escape (a Gay Resort in Palm Springs) from last year’s Halloween costume contest so we decided to take advantage and have ourselves a little mini vacation getaway. We arrived last night (Friday) and will be leaving Monday. I’m excited for the rest of the weekend! :]
Pooh and I went to SF Pride last weekend. We had a blast! We arrived on Friday night and stayed with friends in Daly City. Saturday through Monday we stayed at the Westin in Union Square. I’m glad I was able to meet a lot of people that follow my blog/tumbler/Twitter, though I got a couple messages from people saying they were too scared to say hi. Next time just say hi! :) We don’t bite!
I love San Francisco and can’t wait to be able to go there “just to go” and not for some event like Pride or Folsom. Hopefully we can make another trip soon. Though, I guess next time we’ll fly – Pooh got a speeding ticket on our way up. Ugh.
I posted most of my pics from the weekend to my instagram. If you missed em, here they are!
Was pretty much frikkin awesome! I had the most amazing time! Pooh and I spent the weekend with good friends and just had so much fun everywhere we went.
I am a firm believer of the saying, “it’s not where you’re at it’s who you’re with that matters”. I’m so happy to have these crazy people in my life. Sometimes I wish I recorded video of us and our friends so I can share the most funny and craziest things that we say and do.
We were pretty much everywhere this weekend. If you follow my Twitter you probably already knew that.
Friday night we drank at our place, went to our friend’s house for a little huge party, walked around Hillcrest, and went back to our friend’s house to party some more.
Saturday was a blur. Since the parade was going on in our back yard, our friends met up early at our house to have some cocktails before frolicking in the street. We watched the parade a bit, barely, and went into Rich’s. It’s so weird being in there during the day…but we still had an amazing time! The DJ playing in the outside area was awesome and funny. We then walked over to the festival in Balboa park, which felt like the longest walk in the world! We hung out for the rest of the day and walked around. We also stuffed our faces! Gotta love the L&L Hawaiian BBQ tent! I got me some Kalua Pork (I don’t know how to spell the name of the dish and am too lazy to Google it).
After another long as fuck walk back to our place in Hillcrest, we rested and recharged our batteries – both metaphorically and also, our phones. We split up so everyone can go home, shower, and change for the night time festivities. We went to Rich’s and goddamn the line was ridiculously long! After waiting in line for an hour and a half, we finally got in around 11:30 and got our Pride Party started! We danced the night away and had so much fun.
Sunday was much more relaxed than Saturday. Surprisingly, I was able to function. Good thing I drank lots of water! We started our day with a delicious brunch at Ortegas. We met up with some friends at Fiesta Cantina afterwards but didn’t stay too long. We felt like hopping around so we went from Cantina, to The Hole, to The Loft, to Baby Cakes, to Mo’s, and found ourselves enjoying cocktails and body rolling at Eden. After Eden we went to the Festival in Balboa Park to watch Frenchie and Salt & Peppa perform. It was great! We had a nice spot in the grass to sit back and relax while we enjoyed the show. We got up to dance when Salt & Peppa performed though.
After the Festival we were pretty much exhausted. I couldn’t party much longer so we went home and called it a night. Right when I hit my bed I just knocked out! Definitely was the most satisfying and refreshing sleep I’ve had in a long time!
Any of you go to SD Pride? I hope you had as much fun as I did if you went. :) I’m kind of sad I didn’t take as many pictures as I normally would.
I’ve finally uploaded pics from our trip to SF! It was so awesome running into and meeting a lot of my online social network buddies! I hope to see you guys at SD Pride!

I just picked up some toys for myself. They were having a buy one get one half off sale so I figured…sure, why not? :)
It’s been really cold lately so I think I’ll test one out while taking a hot shower later.
Pooh and I went to Disneyland this last Saturday for Gay Day! It’s not an official Disney event but it’s a weekend where “the gays” flock to Disneyland and just have fun! Pooh and I had an amazing time. The highlight of the evening was watching World of Color at California Adventure. It was, as my friends were saying the whole night, “LIFE CHANGING!”. It was a beautiful and extremely entertaining show. I had chills and was smiling ear to ear. I definitely recommend seeing it if you happen to be going to Disneyland’s California Adventure. It’s a night show and I highly suggest that you get fast passes in the morning so you can get good seats! We’re definitely getting Annual Passes since we had so much fun and all of our friends seem to have passes as well.
I haven’t been to Disneyland in years so I was excited about everything. I managed to take lots of pics because I got my camera fixed! (It was under warranty – yay! Luckily, I got it shipped back on time for my trip to Disneyland.) We managed to get in a lot of rides before we left and we picked up a couple souveniers.
While we were at Disneyland we bumped into some guys that recognized us and follow my blog. It was very nice meeting you guys! I wish I took pictures!
Aside from Disneyland, we also enjoyed the rest of our time in West Hollywood. We were in town Friday night and left Monday. It felt like we were gone for weeks. Our friends David, Aaron, Jay, and Matt all stayed at our house and watched Gizmo. How sweet! :) I bet they had their own bit of fun and partying while “daddy and daddy” were away.
I’ve uploaded pics to the Galleries section of my blog. You can also view them by clicking the following link.
I’ve just uploaded the San Diego Pride pics to my galleries section! :) It took forever for me to upload them to facebook so I’ll blog about them later. In the meanwhile…you can check them out after the jump!
Pooh and I went to Long Beach Pride (2010) this past weekend. We were supposed to go with our friends Suki and Kelly to meet up with our bud Flo, but our lady friends were unable to make it. We all had an amazing time! We went out in West Hollywood on Saturday night and went to the Pride festival in Long Beach on Sunday. I love going up to see our buddy Flo because it always feels like a week long vacation in just the 2 days that we visit.
It was unfortunate that our cell phones were unable to get any reception. We couldn’t get a hold of our friends to meet up. (Gian, you’re phone sucks for dying on us…we didn’t get to see you!!!) Some highlights from LB Pride in a nut shell was drinking in our car parked in front of California Pizza Kitchen, dancing for our lives at the Hip Hop stage, watching the hot Go-Go boy pop out of his undies for a long time before he noticed he was letting it all hang loose, and then having All-U-Can-Eat Korean BBQ in Korea Town. It was an awesome time! Thanks Flo for the fun!
